This is the privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) that governs how we, FundThrough Inc., FundThrough USA Inc. or any of their subsidiaries (“FundThrough”, “we”, “our” or “us”), use Personal Information that we collect, receive and store about owners of businesses who may use our services as well as website visitors and other individuals who interact with us. The Privacy Policy describes our practices in connection with: (i) the website fundthrough.com (the “Site”); (ii) your use of our tech-powered invoice funding platform and services (the “Service”); and (iv) your other interactions with us..

FundThrough respects the privacy of all visitors to the Site. By visiting and using the Site, using our Services or otherwise interacting with us, you understand that your Personal Information will be treated in accordance with our Privacy Policy and any other privacy notices that we may provide to you. Unless otherwise defined herein, capitalized words shall have the meanings assigned to such terms set forth in the FundThrough Terms and Conditions, which incorporates this Privacy Policy.
We collect personal information directly from you, as well as from third parties such as Third Party Accounts you authorize or background screening providers (with your consent where required by law). We and our third party providers also collect information automatically when you visit our Site as described below.
Create an Account: We collect certain information in order to create and administer your account, such as your business email address and password. We strongly recommend that you do not disclose your password to anyone. We will never ask you for your password in any unsolicited communication (such as letters, phone calls or email messages). If you become aware of any unauthorized access to or use of your account, you are required to notify us immediately.
Provide the Services: We will collect certain information about you and your company to assess whether your company qualifies for the Services, such as your name, business phone number, business email address, company name, information obtained from your government issued identification, business registration information (such as articles of incorporation, business license, operating agreement and banking information related to your company account), funding amount you are seeking, repayment track record, tax information, business credit reports, personal credit reports, reasons for funding, invoice platforms you currently use, outstanding invoices, invoices to businesses or government agencies, information about construction or real estate assets and information about liens on account receivables. We may also collect information about you or your business, subject to your consent as required by applicable law, from a credit reporting agency such as Transunion or Equifax to help us evaluate your business, its creditworthiness and suitability for funding.
Connect a Third-Party Account: You may choose to connect a third-party website or service such as accounting software, bank account or similar accounts (each a “Third-Party Account”) to link your FundThrough Service Account and your Third-Party Account. If you decide to connect a Third-Party Account we will have access to certain information (which may include personal information) you authorize FundThrough to access related to your Third-Party Account as described to you at the time of connection.
Contact Us: When you contact us (including a live agent or chat bot), we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, and any information you provide to us.. We may retain this information to assist you in the future and to improve our customer service and service offerings.
Data that we Automatically Collect: In general, you can visit our Site without telling us who you are or actively submitting any personal information. However, data that we collect automatically from your browser or device may be linkable to you or your device (including some of the information described in the “Do we use cookies or other tracking technologies” section below). For example, we may make use of log files when you use the Site or Services, and we may link these files to you or your device. The information inside the log files includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, type of browser, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date/time stamp, referring/exit pages, clicked pages and any other information your browser may send to us. We may use such information to analyze trends, improve the Site and/or Services, administer the Services and track user’s movement around the Services and/or Site.
Marketing Communications: If you sign-up to receive email or text message marketing communications such as company news, updates, related product or service information, we collect your business email address and/or mobile phone number as well as other information on an optional basis to help us tailor our communications to you. You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included at the bottom of each email or replying “STOP” to any of our text messages. Alternatively, you can opt-out of receiving email marketing communications by contacting us at the contact information provided in the “Contact Us” section below. Please note that you may continue to receive transactional or account-related communications from us.
We may also contact you by phone at your business telephone number to tell you about new products and services. If you do not wish to receive these calls, please let us know on the call or contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section.
We do not sell, rent, or share your contact information—including your phone number or email address—with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. Your contact details will only be shared with third-party service providers to the extent necessary to deliver consented marketing communications on our behalf, and only in compliance with applicable privacy laws and our contractual safeguards.
No phone / mobile number information will be shared with third parties / affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Job Applications: If you apply for a job at FundThrough, you may provide us with certain Personal Information about yourself, such as information contained in a resume/CV, cover letter, or similar employment-related materials. We may also collect Personal Information from third-party social networking websites including but not limited to, your LinkedIn profile, professional blog, website or similar portfolio. We use this information to assess your suitability for current and future career opportunities and communicate with you about your application.
Feedback & Reviews: We may collect and use customer feedback and/or reviews about our Services to better understand our customers and enhance our product and service offerings. With your consent, we may publish your feedback and/or reviews on our Site or other promotional materials.
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your Personal Information. We have implemented reasonable and appropriate administrative, technical and physical measures in an effort to safeguard and secure any information in our custody and control against theft, loss and unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure. When providing our employees and service providers with access to Personal Information, we follow the need-to-know principle and provide them with only the sort of Personal Information they need to fulfill their job requirements. Although FundThrough takes reasonable precautions to safeguard any Personal Information collected, it cannot fully eliminate security risks associated with Personal Information and we cannot guarantee that unauthorized access to your information will never occur.
It is our policy to delete Personal Information after we determine that its retention no longer is necessary for the purposes set out herein or as otherwise required to meet legal or business requirements.
We and our service providers may access, store and otherwise process Personal Information outside of Canada or the province in which you reside (which may include transfer outside of Quebec for Quebec residents), including in the U.S., Canada or other foreign jurisdictions, where our service providers are located.
Yes. We use tracking technologies, such as cookies, web beacons and pixel tags on our Site. Cookies are small files that a site or its service provider transfers to your computer’s hard drive through your web browser (if you don’t block this functionality) that enables the sites or service providers systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.
We use cookies and other tracking technologies to compile data about site traffic and site interaction so that we can offer better site experiences and tools. We may contract with third-party service providers who use such technologies, such as Google Analytics, to assist us in better understanding our site visitors and for other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, trade, disclose or otherwise transfer any Personal Information, except as set forth below or as required or permitted by law.
Service Providers: We may transfer (or otherwise make available) your Personal Information to trusted third parties or affiliates that provide services on our behalf, such as operating and hosting our Site, providing advertising and marketing services, conducting our business, or providing us with information to assess whether your company qualifies for the Services, . Third-Party Entities: If you choose to link your FundThrough Service Account to a Third-Party Account, we may share information about your business transactions through your FundThrough Service Account with the third party for reporting and other purposes. as described to you at the time of connection (for example, revenue earned from a specific client, number of advances, etc.).
Credit Bureaus: We may report information about your business (such as missed payments) to credit reporting agencies such as Equifax and Transunion to help establish credit worthiness of your business.
Legal and Compliance: We and our Canadian, U.S. and other foreign service providers may provide your Personal Information in response to a search warrant or other legally valid inquiry or order, or to another organization for the purposes of investigating a breach of an agreement or contravention of law or detecting, suppressing or preventing fraud, or as otherwise may be required or permitted by applicable Canadian, U.S. or other law or legal process, which may include lawful access by U.S. or foreign courts, law enforcement or other governmental authorities. Your Personal Information may also be disclosed where necessary for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims and to investigate or prevent actual or suspected loss or harm to persons or property.
Sale of Business: We may transfer any information we have about you as an asset in connection with a proposed or completed merger, acquisition or sale (including transfers made as part of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings) involving all or part of FundThrough or as part of a corporate reorganization or other change in corporate control.
Occasionally, at our discretion, we may include links to or offer third party products or services on our Site. These third party sites have separate and independent privacy policies. We do not have any control over such websites, and therefore we have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites.

FundThrough is not an entity that is covered by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (“HIPAA”). The HIPAA privacy rules apply to health plans, health care clearinghouses, to any health care provider who transmits health information in electronic form in connection with transactions for which the Secretary of Health and Human Services has adopted standards under HIPAA (the “covered entities”) and their service providers (“business associates”). This means that the information that you provide to FundThrough is not protected by the HIPAA privacy rules and regulations. You may not submit or otherwise make available any protected health information (as that term is defined under HIPAA) to FundThrough.
